Testimonials
The following are comments from real clients, teachers, and parents.
Teenage young woman 3 years after math program:
I got the only A+ in my math class my first semester at the Junior High. I haven’t gotten below a B since we worked together.
Parent of same teen:
First Year: F. seems much more confident and sure of herself since studying the Davis program with you in August. While she is still working on her multiplication tables, I can see that she is calmer and not as easily frustrated by the task. Facts are starting to come more easily for her. I get the definite sense that she now believes she can do this, where once it was simply overwhelming and math practice ended in tears. Thank you for the time you spent so patiently with F. I will continue to update you on her progress. (Sep) F. had her best teacher conference ever at her Montessori school. She has taken control, doing difficult tasks first. (Nov)
Two years later: F. still likes to play the “catch the koosh while standing on one leg” I wobbled – she said “Mom, remember to check your point!”. Almost a year and a half after the Davis training, she is still practicing/using the training. She’s also running a B+ in Math.
Teenage young man after ADD program:
It’s easier to focus, little better, more control over my energy level, more confident about going back to class this year, feel a lot better.
Parent about teenage young woman after reading program:
I ‘catch’ L. reading which she had never done before on her own. L. recognizes that she used to get ‘taken in’ by roommates plights and is stepping away from that role and acting with more true independence.
Same teenage young woman after program:
I feel more ‘solid’.
Teen young man after reading program:
I feel great, know some reading exercises that will help me be a better reader, have to read a whole bunch to get faster.
Same teenage young man’s parents months after the reading program:
We especially appreciate having the language and understanding to talk about orientation. I (Mom) realize about my own picture thinking; what a bridge it provides for sharing ideas and feelings.
Parent/educator about 8 year old daughter after reading program:
In particular, I appreciate creating a language J. and I can use to discuss how/when/why she is struggling—especially as it relates to her ability to focus. I see that J. recognizes and recenters herself when she finds ‘her dot off balance’. I forsee many positive reading experiences ahead and J. in control rather than ‘off-point’ and frustrated.
